Eli Crane Breaks His Promises

Crane claims that he’s pro-growth and wants to cut taxes for everyday Arizonans, but so far he has done the exact opposite.

Crane voted no on increasing the child tax credit, which puts more money in the hands of Arizona families.

Crane sponsored legislation to repeal the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. Had Crane’s Bill passed, Arizona would have lost:

$10 billion for clean energy projects & 13,000 new jobs
A 30% tax rebate for homeowners and small businesses that invest in solar, which lowers the barrier to massive lifetime energy savings for Arizona families and businesses.
Lower prescription drug prices for seniors, including insulin, which is now capped at $35 a month.

A core part of Crane's platform is border security, yet he consistently votes against any border security improvements.

In 2024, Crane voted no on a bipartisan bill that would have cleared the border processing backlog, overhauled the asylum process, and made our borders safe and fair.

Crane repeatedly advocates for a complete shutdown of the border which would worsen processing backlogs, and raises grocery prices by halting the delivery of fresh produce from Mexico, the United States biggest trading partner.

Crane ran on his credentials as a veteran and made improving services for veterans a cornerstone of his campaign, yet he consistently votes against veteran’s interests.

In 2023, Crane voted to cut veterans benefits by 22%, forcing Arizona veterans to lose access to 127,000 outpatient doctor visits.

Crane also voted ‘no’ on legislation which would have funded substance abuse treatment for people suffering from opioid addiction, an issue that disproportionately impacts Arizona’s veterans.
